Spotted Dove Bird finally finished!

It took a while but she's finished and I'm happy with the way she turned out. I hope you all enjoy her classy shawl of back and white freathers!

As I said in my earlier post, leave a comment here, and in one week, I will pick one name out of a hat and send you an 8x10 giclee of your choice, from all the birds and critters I have drawn since January, this one making 25 total! I'm very proud of myself if I do say so myself!.

But I'm not going to stop here, I still have 75 to go this year and next up is a Baltimore Oriole! Orange is my favorite color this year, so this one will be extra fun. Have a great week!

By the way, my copyright notice will not appear on your giclee, but all images are copyrighted as you all know. I will, however, hand sign the giclee.

OH! She turned out beautiful. How do you manage all this and a full time job? Please share as I can't seem to manage it and would love to learn how.

She is sooo beautiful and I think she knows how much you cared about her as you worked away...it shows in the final result.

Your birds are beautiful. You have certainly mastered the techniques required to make them very realistic. Your spotted dove looks like she could walk-- or fly -- off the page!

Oh I don't know if 2 is a very lucky number for these blog giveaways but I would just love the opportunity to win one of your birds. I too am a bird lover. I am always taking pictures of birds. Thanks so much for this opportunity.

Gosh, she's beautiful. You've really outdone yourself with this one. Your love for the birds really comes thru in your work. I'm in awe of your productivity, girl. I'd love to be a fly on your wall for one day to see how you do it.

The dove looks fantastic! So detailed, it's a beautiful work. Love the green background, it makes a nice contrast to highlight the delicate coloring of the bird.

Lovely drawing! Who's going to be the lucky one to get this prized bird?

Well if you were a fly on the wall you'd see me sitting in a very comfy IKEA chair in front of the TV, my husband would be watching sports (uggg!) and on my hassock in front of me would be about 100 colored pencils from various manufacturers, my gum eraser would be rolling all over the place, on the side table to my left is another three cups of colored pencils, one 2B pencil and a few very dull dried out pilot pens. On the right arm of the chair would be my iphone, at my feet on the right would be my german shepherd, Cleopatra, and on the soft cushy back of my chair would be Kangi one of my cats, draped around my shoulders. I also have a sunlight lamp on the left side table for light. That's it!

Remember, you get to pick which bird or critter you want! Might make a nice Mother's Day present for someone, so get your email friends to leave comments too!

The detail is super. What a wonderful picture of the dove!

By the way, I got my rabbit print. I think my granddaughter will have to lose out and I will give this to her mother instead. It' gorgeous. I like the addition of the typing underneath the animal. It's just enough to add something to the whole picture. Thanks for sending it right out.

Maybe you'll win the drawing and you can get another one free for your granddaughter! Glad you like it!

She is so beautiful. Dove are one of my favorite birds just for that wonderful coo they make. I have a pair that frequent my yard.
