Goldfinch finished!
Well here's my little Goldfinch all decked out as you will see him this late spring and summer. In the fall and winter they are mostly brown, for camouflage I assume, so their predators can't see them in the bare trees. Come spring and summer it's mating time and both the male and female turn brighter yellow, the male, or course, outshining the female in all his finery! I hope you are enjoying all my birds. Now on to the hummingbird which will be making it's appearance soon I hope! I put up a hummingbird feeder last year but it must have been the wrong height or in the wrong place in the garden because I didn't see any. Maybe I'll try the backyard this year, away from the traffic.

He's adorable! All you bird drawings are really wonderful.
Wonderful! I get a lot of hummingbirds here in the summer. Well, I just realized that their favorite bush probably didn't make it through the winter. I'll try to get some photos for you, but they're so fast that I doubt I can! When I first got back to TX and started seeing them, I was so amazed at how tiny they are! Don't know why I never noticed that before!
He's just as beautiful as I knew he would be! And ... he's also awfully cute! nancy
Very nicely done. Such fine and delicate detail! I hopped over to the Cornell website and played its call.
It's fantastic! :) You definitely need to publish all your birds drawings in a book.
Your birds are simply fantastic! So real, all this detail... Wonderful, really.
I like your coffee mugs, too! :)
He is spectacularly beautiful. I was afraid he was going to fly away while I was admiring him.

Gorgeous color and art. Love it.
Amazing work. I agree with Alex, a book would be really nice. Or a poster with several of your birds.
Again your bird is just wonderful. Here in CA they pretty much stay the bright colors. Mine are just precious when it is raining and I think cold and they are bathing in the bird bath. Thanks for the birds.
Simply beautiful! I am so enjoying watching you draw all these birds. Magnificent!
