Red Tailed Hawk finally finished

It's been a long road with this guy! Layer upon layer of color and feathers. But I truly enjoyed the trip! For anyone who takes a look and leaves a comment, I will be writing down your names and pulling them out of a hat next weekend, and the winner will receive an 8 x 10 giclee from yours truly to thank you for your continued support!

Next up will be a Great Horned Owl I think! Everyone loves my first owl and my "Happy Owl-o-ween" card so go with the flow!
See you all on EDM! Or join me on my "Revelle Taillon Artist" Facebook page http://tinyurl.com/yzg2veb

I can not imagine taking this time to complete a work---what devotion you have not to mention the talent of creative preserverence..and look what you have wrought--BRAVO !

Congrats on finishing your red-tailed hawk! Also thanks for posting the stages of work. I love to see how the painting comes together step by step.

Beautiful hawk. I saw 10 of them on a recent birding trip, along with a Merlin hunting a goldfinch or yellow warbler, it got away by the skin of it's teeth! Also an American Kestrel, and No. Harrier...love the raptors...

This is spectacular and I can't believe after all that work you are giving him away.

I'd surely provide a good home for him (grin).

Jeez - why'd you call so many folks over here? - I want it!

it's the fineness of the details along with the colors and combination of colors that i admire first, and then it is the eyes...the eyes are amazing!

that's a great drawing! I'm glad you showed the build up of layers till the final picture. That's always a neat thing to see. Nice work.
