Beautiful!!! It's coming to life now, and I am sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. I hope you get better soon. I am wondering what kind of media do you use, and if I have to guess I think I'd go with pastels. =) But then again, I've never really used them before so I don't really know. The whites show really really well here with whatever media that you're using ^^
Hi Alex, I start with pencil, then usually go to pen and ink (using a very dried out pilot pen because it has a nice drag and it's very light on the paper) and then various brands of colored pencils on recycled paper. Sometimes I erase the pencil before I color it in with either the pen and ink, or pencils, and sometimes I draw right over it. Mostly I would have to say I erase it. I have worked in pastels in the past but only at a much larger size because they tend to be a bit messier since they are so large in my hand.
Love seeing the progress! And you mentioned in the group that you use a recycled paper sketchbook--is it Earthbound Cachet? I have one, waiting to be used, but I've promised myself not to start it until I've finished some of the other sketchbooks I've got going. (too many to count!)
Raena, Yes it is Earthbound by Cachet! I can't even remember where I bought it, but it was probably Staples or Borders or somewhere. Where did you get yours? I'll need another one before the end of the year! Revelle

he is going to be so beautiful when you finish.
this is so beautiful i just want to touch it!
This looks as if it's going to be really good. The colour of the paper is perfect for the owl's colours.
I'm looking forward to seeing him when he's finished. He looks great!

I ordered mine online, but believe or not, I saw one at Walmart! And it was only about seven dollars or so!
I should check them out! You never know where you're going to find a deal!
