Red Tailed Hawk finally finished
It's been a long road with this guy! Layer upon layer of color and feathers. But I truly enjoyed the trip! For anyone who takes a look and leaves a comment, I will be writing down your names and pulling them out of a hat next weekend, and the winner will receive an 8 x 10 giclee from yours truly to thank you for your continued support!
Next up will be a Great Horned Owl I think! Everyone loves my first owl and my "Happy Owl-o-ween" card so go with the flow!
See you all on EDM! Or join me on my "Revelle Taillon Artist" Facebook page http://tinyurl.com/yzg2veb

I can not imagine taking this time to complete a work---what devotion you have not to mention the talent of creative preserverence..and look what you have wrought--BRAVO !
Your hawk looks very fierce and alert. Great job! I'm looking forward to seeing the Great Horned Owl.
Thank you Winna! You are always there for me!!!
This is stunning! Ah, the red tail hawk - it is the great prize in the field, so magnificent. This takes me there.
What a beauty! Time well spent.
This came out just as good as it promised to be at the beginning, well done!
He's really beautiful, and all your patience with the process is obvious. He just glows! nancy
Congrats on finishing your red-tailed hawk! Also thanks for posting the stages of work. I love to see how the painting comes together step by step.
Aloha, Kate
Beautiful hawk. I saw 10 of them on a recent birding trip, along with a Merlin hunting a goldfinch or yellow warbler, it got away by the skin of it's teeth! Also an American Kestrel, and No. Harrier...love the raptors...

This is soooo wonderful. Such detail. Great work.
Great Comments, thanks so so much!!!!
Amazing! We have a lot of those around here. They are stunning birds, as is your drawing.
Thanks for all the comments! Glad you like my hawk. I'll have to do more!
The various steps were great and the result is stunning !! So much intelligence in his eye ! Congratulations !
He's breathtaking, really! I absolutely admire both your incredible skill (and love for details) and patience! Just: WOW!
This is spectacular and I can't believe after all that work you are giving him away.
I'd surely provide a good home for him (grin).
xoxo
Jeez - why'd you call so many folks over here? - I want it!
it's the fineness of the details along with the colors and combination of colors that i admire first, and then it is the eyes...the eyes are amazing!
that's a great drawing! I'm glad you showed the build up of layers till the final picture. That's always a neat thing to see. Nice work.
I'm so glad I checked back; I could have sworn that I had already left a comment! I wouldn't want to miss out on this!
Oh yes! I would love to win this handsome bird. I'm an avid birder with 850 birds on my life list.
